The Musicians

Patricia Auchterlonie is a Canadian soprano currently completing her master's degree at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama where she studies with Sarah Pring. She already holds a BMus with honours from the University of Toronto.

Miss Auchterlonie is passionate about the performance of new and unheard music: performances for the upcoming year include Schoenberg's Pierrot Lunaire, a recital of works by living composers with Borough New Music, and in the spring, the premier of a new work in the Wigmore Hall. She can also be seen as a regular recitalist across London in venues such as St. John's Waterloo, St. John's Smith Square and St. Peter's Nottinghill.

Other concert work includes Bach's Magnificat in D, Purcell song with Toronto’s Theatre of Early Music, Ravel's Mallarmé Songs and premiers of works by young composers. Operatic roles performed include Dido in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas, Giannetta in Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore and First Lady in Mozart’s The Magic Flute.

British soprano Mimi Doulton is a postgraduate scholar at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, studying with Gary Coward. In 2015 she graduated with first-class honours in Music from King's College London, where she was a choral scholar. Her career has recently taken a focus on contemporary music - highlights of 2015/16 included research and development workshops for Philip Venables' 4.48 Psychosis with the Royal Opera, covering and performing in the premiere run of Watch Me for the Guildhall Opera School's MA in Opera Making and Writing, and performances of Judith Weir's King Harald's Saga across London, notably at the Wigmore Hall and St. John's Smith Square. More traditional work has included title roles in Gluck's Orfeo ed Eurydice and Mozart's Bastien und Bastienne, as well as chorus and cover work for Hampstead Garden Opera (Le nozze di Figaro) and Opera Lyrica (La Traviata). On the concert stage she has sung a wide range of sacred and recital repertoire - exploring composers from Gabrieli and Handel to Mahler and Berg. Work with the Philharmonia Chorus has taken her across the UK and Europe, including to renowned venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, the Royal Festival Hall and the Barbican Concert Hall. She also regularly joins the professional choirs at St. Brides Fleet Street and St Mary's Bourne Street as a deputy.
