L'Incoronazione di Poppea, Berlin, 2018

August 18, 2018

I am currently working on Monteverdi's L'Incoronazione di Poppea at the Berlin Opera Academy where I will be conducting the Matinee performance from the harpsichord on 20th August at 2pm. Rehearsals for this unique and endlessly inspiring opera have been a brilliant experience and I look forward to performing it in a wonderful Berlin venue; the Ehemaliges Stummflimkino Delphi Theatre, an old silent movie theatre. Solti Accademia Spring 2018

April 14, 2018

This April I had the privilege of going to beautiful Venice for 10 days as part of the Solti-Peretti Repetiteur Course. It was an absolutely invaluable experience where I worked with wonderful fellow young repetiteurs and learned from fantastic coaches, including Johnathan Papp, Pamela Bullock, James Vaughn, Anette Saunders and Richard Bonyge. It was also wonderful to meet Lady Solti. The ten days encompassed coaching singers, repertoire coachings, Italian language classes and arranging. The final concert included an arrangement of the overture to Wagner's Die Walküre for five pianos, arias with singers and Act I finale of Cosi Fan Tutte arranged for two pianos and conducted by the repetiteurs.

Working on wonderful music on the Island of San Giorgio with amazing colleagues was an experience I'll never forget!

Sibelius Songs at the Barbican

September 28, 2016

On Sunday evening (25th September) I was honored to play at the Barbican Concert Hall in the Pre-LSO Guildhall Platforms. Mezzo-Soprano, Chloe Latchmore and I presented 5 songs of Jean Sibelius, op. 37 before the LSO performed Sibelius' beautiful violin concerto with soloist Nikolaj Znaider.

It was a wonderful experience and introduction to the songs of Sibelius which I will be playing again in the future.
